B.緣起：在2011/10/30，一位素未謀面的三軍總醫院神經外科主治醫師稱讚我對妥瑞氏症(Tourette syndrome)的貢獻，他的主任推薦「天使的鬼臉」，經閱讀後，有很深刻的啟發。當時我頗訝異，因我是學教育，半路轉進中醫師特考，歷經多位老師指導後，幸運地能幫助妥瑞病人。
所有已出版的書，其內容都是舊聞，醫學書籍也是如此；但醫學觀念技術日新月異，若醫者及時提出近日臨床研究狀況，對醫療可能有助益。

祝中醫療效更上層樓！《天使的鬼臉 - 妥瑞氏症、亞斯伯格症、強迫症、巴金森氏症的中醫治療》三版，作者的願望。
2016年01月新書上市，全書綜覽：
1.這書的前三分之二是十年前的內容，出版社副總編輯說冷門書能賣出二千八百多本，她很意外！新增加的後三分之一是教學講義，屬較難治療的特殊疾病，適合國內或國外的中西醫、藥、護理人員專業閱讀，病人、家屬、一般讀者瀏覽也會有收穫；這部分我儘可能言簡意賅地敘述中醫治療妥瑞氏症、亞斯伯格症、強迫症、過動症、巴金森氏症的辨證思維和處置經驗。
2.此書記載一些嚴重病例曾是西醫大醫院治不好、越治越嚴重而由中醫藥幫忙解套，救回病人健康；聽說也改變國內外的神經科醫師治療妥瑞氏症的用藥劑量減輕些；病人之幸。
3.美國華盛頓大學醫學教授在2006年的及時回應台灣報紙報導林寶華中醫師治療妥瑞氏症有效，我至少有一年期間很驚訝這訊息；逐漸才確信：西藥很難控制、很難治療腦神經精神障礙的疾病。
4.前賢云：「知其然，知其所以然，知其何以然，以何然」。中醫的傳統辨證模式很多，但仍很難含括這類腦神經精神障礙，於是我加入「西醫的病理研究」、「西醫西藥處置後的各階段病情」也是中醫辨證模式。
5.許多西藥能安全服用十年、二十年以上，中藥粉、湯劑可安全服用多久呢？古代病人不擔憂，現代媒體以訛傳訛、誇大中藥的副作用，使少數中醫師自己都不放心，重度病人則相信已是絕症，放棄中醫治療。我三十年來戰戰競兢，很小心，絕不能出錯，常請病人小孩去血檢，解除他們家長的憂慮；並將十多年來有顯著療效幾位嚴重病人的服用帖數四百多、六百多、一千多、三千多帖照實寫入本書；古人可以醫治，希望現代病人也恢復中藥安全的信心。
6.自古以來，中醫單獨治病是有療效的，而現代嚴重疾病的病人可用中西醫結合治療模式，更是病人之福。
7.我很感謝中西結合神經醫學會的諸多講師諄諄教誨，協助學員蛻變治病觀念、提升醫術。

《Tourette
Syndrome, Asperger, OCD, Parkinson's Disease treated with Chinese
Medicine. 》- Abstract

In these recent 10 years, I have
treated more than 1,700 patients who were diagnosed with Tics
(Tourette syndrome), I am so glad to be able to help the majority
of the Tourette's patients, and had discovered that Traditional
Chinese Medicine: (1) Is able to cure Tourette's syndrome, (2)
Offers safe and efficient treatments in the long run, (3) Helps
to remove negative side effects caused by long term dosing of
psychiatric drugs.
Tourette's patients usually suffered
from a single disease, however many patients also suffered from
two or more mixed diseases. Severe Tourette patients could have
complications, suffering Autism (Asperger syndrome), Obsessive
compulsive disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,
Depression or Dystonia at the same time.
Based on traditional Chinese medicine
theory, patient's syndrome of deficiency(虛), excess(實), cold(寒),
heat(熱), stasis(瘀), dampness(濕), dryness(燥)、 wind(風) is first
distinguished, then the prescription with appropriate proportion
is decided. Or, a particular syndrome is to be treated first,
and then followed by treating another syndrome. Of course, depending
on individual complication, patients' health condition can be
improved with additional medicines.

通俗易懂，中醫藥專業安全療效。
十年前編寫此書後，更多疑似妥瑞氏症( Tic, Tourette
syndrome )的病人來診，目前已超過一千七百位Tic病人，很高興我能幫助大多數病人恢復健康，證實中藥的長期安全性和有效性。
許多病家、醫事同道希望分享這些腦神經精神障礙疾病的治療經驗與思維，爰再版，未改第一版篇幅，內容增加《中醫治療腦神經精神障礙教學講義：妥瑞氏症亞斯伯格症強迫症巴金森氏症等腦神經精神障礙的中醫治療》，將師長教誨、專家研究、病家辛苦和我的治病心得鋪陳條列，希望以簡馭繁且能雅俗共賞。
中醫師在台灣的醫療工作是很富有挑戰性的，政府的醫療政策是中醫師用中藥、西醫師用西藥，不可混淆。因此，台灣的中醫師看診，要跟得上病人的快速療效需求，也要能承受社會的嚴苛檢驗。
隨著時代的進步，中醫師經常嘗試學習現代醫學的研究心得，運用於中醫的臨床診療，以便提供病人更好的治療效果。妥瑞氏症候群的中醫治療就是在這樣的機緣下產生的，希望有助於維護病人的健康。
自從一百多年前法國醫生提出難治病例以來，妥瑞氏症仍是現代醫學的難題。我認為西醫的困難癥結是，因妥瑞氏症候群病人會發作神經抽動症狀，也會兼有精神情緒障礙；若以神經內科西藥抑制病人的神經症狀，病人可能會增加新的精神情緒障礙；若以精神科西藥抑制病人的精神情緒障礙，病人的病情僅是暫時控制而已，會經常反覆出現其他神經病變。而中醫可以解決這個困難。
古來一學一藝之流傳，原不能無師承，有其學必有其師。
感謝恩師卓播臣中醫師啟蒙，引入中醫藥從業行列；
林昭庚教授開拓學海視野；李政育醫師授課提攜，承蒙不棄，臚列門牆；
腦神經外科專家林欣榮院長、蔣永孝教授等許多中西名師諄諄教誨我等中西結合神經醫學會學員探索無涯醫學；
精神科江漢光教授在診務教學之餘，將拙文詳細修正；
恩師石岩校長提拔指正，讓本書能順利完稿付梓，衷心感謝。
傳統中醫治病經由辨明病人體質的虛、實、寒、熱等證型著手，再據以決定苦、寒、辛、熱等施治藥物，促進病人恢復健康。筆者治療妥瑞氏症仍是本此意旨，幫助病人在最短療程脫離苦海。
治療腦病既要消除症狀，且須力求病人沒有併發症；醫學日新月異，期盼優秀專家將來提出更簡單療法，救治苦難的腦神經精神障礙病人。

中西醫結合治療巴金森氏病症更有效。…開心的阿嬤！
∼1943年生，女性，初診70歲，158公分，52公斤，屬巴金森氏病初期病人。
∼2013年9月開始服「巴金森氏病」三種西藥，
∼一個月後來中醫診治：左手震顫、服西藥才能睡著、左手較無力、走路稍慢。
∼診察：脈緩，證屬虛、瘀。
∼治則：活血、化瘀。
∼處方：育生補陽還五湯加方，乾薑、製附子、桂子(肉桂)、…。
∼2014年3月增服為四種西藥，
∼2015年8月減服為三種西藥，
∼2015年11月減為只服一種保養西藥(西醫說)。
∼阿嬤說，神經科醫師和護理師很好奇她能減藥、恢復正常：沒有震顫、說話有力、走路快速、迴轉迅速；蹲下起來、左右手前後旋轉、彎腰，都很快速。
∼阿嬤感謝西醫的治療；為避免西醫師生氣，西醫門診時沒說她有每天併服中藥湯藥。
∼阿嬤真的很開心。

附：多年來，我個人、家人出外旅遊的備用中藥粉，如果頭痛、發燒、咳嗽、胃痛、腹痛、拉肚子等急病發作，可暫解除困境：「葛根湯6g＋藿香正氣散4g＋黃芩1.5g＋黃連1.5g。一日量，分3包。」…門診，我常用這藥方治療病人的急性腸炎(腸胃型感冒，病毒、細菌)，療效迅速；第一次可以服兩包，2∼4小時服一包，建議不進餐食6小時，少吃油膩，喝運動飲料如「舒跑」以補充電解質(旅遊，可向餐廳拿些鹽，泡入礦泉水，喝。)，病人常能維持體力正常上班上課。
以上是一般的濃縮藥粉，藥廠不拘。

shaking or sound burst突然發作 have reduced a lot and happen sometime

2.叫聲1次/10-20秒，音量大；這可屬於中度聲語(Moderate Vocal Tics)。

Dear Dr Lin,
It is difficult for us to take the video because our son doesn't
like us to do so.
His current situation is that he makes the big sound outburst
in every 5-10 minutes. Sometimes he makes the sound outburst together
with jumping. Apart from these symptoms, he is in normal condition:
he can eat, sleep, play well.
The western medicine he is taking is :
Haloperidol: 10mg/day,
Depakine: 1,250mg/day;
Trihex: 4mg/day.
At the same time, we have increased Chinese medicine dosage to
3bags/2days for 6 days already but his symptom doesn't reduce
much.
Can you please advise us how many days we should continue to use
the Chinese dosage of 3bags/2days ? Should we use this dosage
in longer time to reduce the symptoms ? or should we increase
western medicine to control the symptom ?

我的一個台灣嚴重病人服Haloperidol 劑量越來越多，至每日20mg，病情嚴重住院；來請我治療，本病例是許多治療妥瑞氏症西醫師驚訝的中醫療效典範。

* 2004/10/22：初診，
曾服西藥每日多達18粒。現服西藥(1)Trihexyphendyl，hcl，2mg 早晚服用，每次2粒。(2)Haloperidol，5mg，早晚服用，每次2粒(每日20mg)。(3)Bupropion，150mg，早晚服用，每次半粒。

Our son already take one bag per day for over one month.
During this month, his symptom is still critical so our western
medicine doctor decide to increase Halipedol from 7.5 mg per day
to 10mg per day. However, his symptom still can not control as
expected. Our western medicine doctor also do not understand why
he becomes more severe in this month.
Because of this situation, we still can not reduce western medicine
after one month as you advise us in Taiwan and he still need to
take 10mg Halipedol per day.
He will continue to take one bag per day of Chinese medicine but

I can treat this patient, treating together about his motor tics、vocal
tics、allergy issue、itchy pimples、less concentration、….。
Your question：『He is now reaching the age of puberty. Does the

＞Answer： All of my more than 1500 Tourette patients are normal
growth.
